107EW-DX
Dx-pedition to Monaco was made by 14EW010

We are presenting report from this trip written by Ben. |
It is 30 Mai 1999 9:00 GMT, ans we are
going to the 107 div via the free way,we are going with car of 011 Chris.
After driving more than one hour, we arrive in Monaco, it is very difficult
to find some place and there are a lot of buildings. After making many
rounds we find place just near the sea and begin to active.
The propagation is very good with Europe.
We are very happy when we contact first EW station, who is 26EW107 Paul,than
we contact 251EW101 Florian. At 12:45 GMT we have a little propagation
with Africa and give a progressive to the 44 div. Than we decide to eat.
At 13:22 the propagation begins
with 161 div, and we give many progressives , aproximately one per minute.
Than we meet 107MS011 Alex who show us a better place in a high point
in Monaco and we stay there. At 15:41 we have propagation with Middle East
and we contact 116EW111 Anne and 136 Tunc
At 19:00 GMT we eat again, we are very
tired after this day. We give progressives to to 21:00 GMT, than a policeman
tells us to move, because a crane has to pass there.
(A crane at 22:00 local time in Monaco
it is a little bit strange)
So
we move, and few meters after one policeman arrests us, and 2 policemen
who told us about the crane, come, and there are now 3 policemen around
the car. they are sure they will find cannabis in the car of Chris, they
keep us 15 minutes, and they tel us to go.
"Ouuf", they didn't say anything
about TS 50 of the station and the antenna on the car, because it is forbidden
to do 11 meters in Monaco.
After that we return in our high point
and give other progressives to 22:00 GMT, than we return in France to sleep.
After a very short night (we slept 3 hours) we go again to our high point
in Monaco, It is 7:00 GMT. Now there is propagation from Pacific &
at 8:24 GMT we are very happy to contact 172AT103, we contact also 43IR026.
We give others progressives to 161 division. In the afternoon we
contact few stations from 91 division. Now it is 15:30 GMT we are going
back to our QTH. This DX pedition was very nice.
Finally we made
317 progressives in 31 divisions, we made 64 stations from 161 division
and 17 members of Eco World were contacted.
